We provide safe and secure services, but we cannot guarantee your safety while in public spaces. 

• By booking a picnic with us, you understand that we are not liable for any injuries or illness that may occur during your picnic. 
• By booking a picnic with us, you understand that you are voluntarily participating in this activity at your own risk. 
• By booking a picnic with us, you understand that any injuries or outcomes that may arise while your picnic takes place are your responsibility and that we are not responsible for any personal injuries, illness, property damages, lost items, theft, or medical expenses. 
• By booking a picnic with us, you agree to voluntarily give up or waive any rights to bring legal action against SF Bay Area Picnics for personal injuries, illness, property damage, lost items, theft, or any medical expenses.

As a reminder, please do not carry or flash valuables while at your picnic, and please do not leave any valuables or items showing in your car. Car break-ins and theft are common in San Francisco and Bay Area public spaces; please remember to lock your car and to remove all valuables from your car. Please be mindful of your surroundings.  

We trust that you will take care of our items as if they were your own while your picnic is happening. Please do not leave items unattended while the picnic is in progress. If you need to leave earlier, please let us know ahead of time or text us on the day of your picnic. We will come early to clean up. If any items are damaged or missing, you will be subject to pay for the cost of the item/s. 

The locations used by SF Bay Picnics are public spaces with local rules. We intend to follow all public space local rules and regulations. Please do not litter or bring prohibited items to your picnic. We strictly follow the leave no trace principles. 

While we do not provide or sell alcoholic beverages, certain San Francisco locations allow beer and wine consumption in public areas. Kegs and liquor are never allowed at public locations nor carrying open alcoholic beverages around. You are responsible for researching which locations allow alcoholic beverages if you intend to bring your own alcoholic beverages. No glass containers are allowed at any local beaches or parks. Please follow all local rules, signs, and laws when using public spaces for your picnic. 

We cannot guarantee set up at a specific section of the location you selected. We will try our best to set up your picnic in an area where you can enjoy the view. If we cannot access the location, you selected due to closure, parking closure, or other circumstances. We will set up in another suitable location nearby. If you are concerned about privacy, we can make some recommendations for less crowded areas, or we can set up your picnic in your backyard. 

The Bay Area is known for year-round chilly weather. Please layer up and bring a blanket to keep warm. 

If there is rain forecasted on the day of your picnic, we will connect with you ahead of time to discuss either moving your picnic indoors (at your residence) or rescheduling it to another day. There are no fees for rescheduling a picnic due to the weather.

If you or a member of your party is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. Please contact us to reschedule your picnic. We can accommodate rescheduling and will do our best to provide a full credit for your reservation. If you cancel less than 72 hours before your picnic.

We do not offer refunds once a booking is made. We can reschedule your picnic or issue a future credit if you need to cancel your booking as long as you notify us 72 hours in advance. There are no cancellation fees to reschedule your booking due to the weather. 

No shows or same-day cancellations will not be issued a future credit. 

If you are running late on the day of your picnic, please let us know. You will have our contact number on the day of the picnic as we will reach out to provide you with your picnic's location. We cannot accommodate additional time for late arrivals as this will impact other picnics scheduled. If you arrive late, please discount this time from your total time allotted. We will arrive promptly to clean up once your allotted time ends, regardless of when the picnic started. 

Please give yourself some cushion time to arrive on time. If you selected a busy location during the warmer months, please keep in mind that the parking lots can get full and that you may not be able to park on-site, or may need to park miles away from the picnic location, so please plan accordingly.
